Thomas Lord is a software developer, living in Berekley, California. He became involved in the Free Software Movement and the GNU project approximately 20 years ago and has since contributed to projects such as GNU sed, The Rx Unicode Regular Expression Library, GNU Guile, and GNU Arch. Long ago, he attended and then worked at Carnegie Mellon University.

Flower grows from a convergence of many of Tom's areas of interest and previous work in the design and implementation of programming languages, databases, and distributed / decentralized applications.
